Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Arrival

Once you have cleared Immigration and collected your baggage upon arrival at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport, please keep an eye out for a Team Mount Everest driver holding a sign with your name. The driver will transport you to Hotel Buddy in Kathmandu, where you will spend the night on a bed and breakfast basis.

Briefing

Your guide will meet you at approximately 6:00 PM (depending on flight timings) for a pre-climb briefing, during which you can discuss the details of tomorrow's trek and ask any questions you may have.

Trek

Day 01: Kathmandu to Pokhara (800m.) 6-7 hours bus ride.

Today, you will embark on a tourist bus that will transport you to Pokhara, a highly sought-after tourist destination in the country. The journey typically lasts 6-7 hours and provides you with stunning views of the Trishuli River, verdant hills, and charming villages en route. Your arrival in Pokhara is expected during the early afternoon hours. After enjoying a delightful lunch, you can explore the beautiful lake city that is renowned for its spectacular mountain vistas. You will be spending the night at the hotel.

Day 02: Pokhara to Tikhedhunga (1540m) 4-5.

Today marks the beginning of your journey towards the magnificent Ghorepani-Poon Hill. After being transported by vehicle for an hour and a half, you'll arrive at Nayapul and gradually begin your ascent towards Birethanti, a cultural town located next to the Modi River. By mid-day, you'll arrive at Sudami, continue on to Hile, and eventually arrive at Tikhedunga, where you'll spend the night at a lodge.

Day 03: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2870m) 5-6 hrs.

The real adventure starts today. Although you might feel tired from the previous day, you'll have to wake up early to kick off the day's trek towards Ulleri village. The trek is incredibly scenic, with breathtaking views of the Himalayan ranges to the north. The trail winds through charming rhododendron and oak forests before reaching Ghorepani. You'll spend the night at a lodge there.

Day 04: Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3210m) to Tadapani (2710m) 6-7 hrs.

This day promises to be the most captivating of the trip, as you rise early to hike towards Poon Hill. The trail leads through fragrant pine and rhododendron forests. You'll need to maintain a good pace to arrive at Poon Hill in time for the breathtaking sunrise view. After hiking for about an hour, you'll reach your first destination of the day, where you can take a break, stretch your legs, and marvel at the stunning sunrise view. Gazing northward, you'll be treated to awe-inspiring vistas of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Himchuli, and Machhapuchchhre mountain ranges. After spending some time at this magnificent hill, the trek continues to Tadapani. You'll need to move quickly to reach Tadapani in time for the sunset view from the viewpoint. Overnight at the lodge.

Day 05: Tadapani to Chhomrong (2170m) 4-5 hrs.

After experiencing the stunning sunrise at Tadapani, we will prepare ourselves to resume our trek. We will descend from Tadapani for an hour until we reach Kimron Khola, following which we will climb up a steep trail until we reach Chhomrong. During this ascent, we will be treated to breathtaking views of Annapurna South and Fishtail Mountain. Chhomrong, a charming village nestled at the base of the Annapurna Massif, will be our destination for the day. O/N at Lodge.

Day 06: Chhomrong to Himalaya (2920m) 6-7 hrs.

After breakfast, we will set out for Himalaya. Our path will take us past Modi Khola and into the lush wooded slopes of the Himalayas. We will cross a suspension bridge and make our way up to Sinuwa Danda. From there, we will journey through dense rhododendron forests until we reach Khuldighar. After that, we will descend along the rocky slopes and into the bamboo and rhododendron forest before finally reaching Himalaya. We will spend the night at a lodge.

Day 07: Himalaya to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) 6-7 hrs.

Our journey commences with a gradual ascent as we follow the trail above the river through the dense forest. We will cross two streams and pass through isolated areas, where the stunning scenery will enhance our adventure with an exotic vibrancy. Throughout the trek, we may encounter a variety of wildlife such as wild pigs, deer, and snow leopards. We will then ascend to Hinko cave and continue ascending until we reach Deurali. From Deurali, we will climb through the river bank and then ascend to the mountain side, being cautious as there are areas prone to avalanches. Further hiking will take us to Bagar, from where the trail leads us to MBC. MBC offers a superb view of Machhapuchhre, Mt. Hiunchuli, Mt Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, and Gangapurna. After having lunch at MBC, we will continue our trek to Annapurna Base Camp. Overnight stay at the Lodge.

Day 08: Explore Annapurna Base Camp, trek back to Bamboo (2335m) 6-7 hrs.

On this day, we will spend some time exploring the surroundings of Annapurna Base Camp and appreciate the magnificent sunrise along with the captivating landscape. We will also witness the snow melting and forming small streams. The south face of Annapurna towering above the sanctuary will leave us in awe. The ABC presents stunning views of the Himalayas, including Machhapuchhere, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli, and other majestic peaks. After a hearty breakfast, we will make our way down to Bamboo. We will spend the night at a lodge.

Day 09: Bamboo to Jhinu (1760) 5-6 hrs.

After having an early breakfast, we resume our trek towards Jhinu. The trail initially ascends through steep and rocky terrain until we reach a ridge, followed by a descent towards Sinuwa. From there, we ascend to Chhomrong and continue our trek until we reach Jhinu. At Jhinu, we can relax and take a dip in the natural hot spring. O/N at Lodge.

Day 10: Jhinu to Nayapul to Pokhara (5-6 Hours trek, 1 hour drive)

Our journey commences by crossing a bridge to reach Kyumi village. From there, we hike towards Syauli Bazaar and then descend to Birethanti. It takes us around an hour to reach Nayapul from Birethanti, where we conclude our trek and board a vehicle that will transport us to Pokhara. Once we arrive at Pokhara, we will check into our hotel and spend the night resting.

Day 11: Drive to Kathmandu 5 hrs.

We will depart today for Kathmandu, driving along the Trisuli River gorge and arriving in the afternoon. Once there, you can explore the medieval Durbar Square, located at the heart of the city, and try out some Newari cuisine or browse local handicrafts and souvenirs for purchase.

Departure

A driver will collect you from your hotel around 3 hours before your departing flight and transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM), ensuring that you arrive there at least 2 hours before your flight departs. Please let us know if you'd like to be collected earlier.
