Everest Base Camp Trek
Arrival
After clearing Immigration and collecting your luggage at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, keep an eye out for a driver from Team Mount Everest who will be holding a sign with your name. The driver will transport you to your accommodation in Kathmandu.
Briefing
At around 1800 (subject to flight timings) you'll be met by your guide for your pre-climb briefing to discuss tomorrow's trek and go through any questions you may have.
Trek
14th November 2026: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche and trek to Sing Gompa (3330m)
Following breakfast, you'll embark on a six-hour road journey to Dhunche (1960m) via vehicle. Once there, you'll start your trek towards Gosainkunda Lake, where you'll pass through charming villages and stunning forests that offer awe-inspiring views of the nearby mountains. The first night's stay will be at Sing Gompa (3330m).
Distance: Approximately 9.6km
15th November 2026: Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda Lake and back to Laurebina
Following breakfast, your trek continues towards the pristine Gosainkunda Lake (4380m). The trail gradually ascends through lush forests of rhododendron and oak trees, offering picturesque views of the Langtang mountain range. After trekking for 3 - 4 hours, you will arrive at the sacred Gosainkunda Lake, which holds immense religious significance for both Hindus and Buddhists. This breathtaking lake is surrounded by snow-capped peaks and boasts crystal clear water that reflects the stunning scenery.
You can take a break to enjoy your meal and appreciate the breathtaking surroundings before beginning the descent. Your accommodation for the night will be at a cozy tea house located in Laurebina (3910m).
Distance: Approximately 12.5km
16th November 2026: Trek from Laurebina to Dhunche and drive to Kathmandu
Following your overnight stay in Laurebina, you will embark on a trek back to Dhunche, where you will meet your driver for the return transfer to Kathmandu. This trek takes approximately 6 hours and offers stunning views of the lush green forests and the majestic Himalayan ranges. You will spend the night at Hotel Buddy in Kathmandu.
Distance: Approximately 14.4km
17th November 2026: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding
Weβll depart the hotel early in the morning, before breakfast, to catch our scenic flight to Lukla. Depending on weather and flight conditions, arrival is typically between 7:00 and 9:00 am.
Upon arrival in Lukla, weβll enjoy breakfast before beginning a relaxed three-hour trek downhill to Phakding (2,610m). Lunch will be served in Phakding, after which your guide will assess the groupβs energy levels.
Depending on how everyone feels, you may either spend the night in Phakding or choose to continue trekking to Namche Bazaar.

18th November 2026: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar
In the first few hours of your journey, you'll cross several iconic suspension bridges while gradually ascending toward the entrance of Sagarmatha National Parkβthe official gateway to the Everest Region. After a brief descent, the trail evens out, leading you across mixed terrain before following the river to the final high suspension bridge. From there, you'll take on the challenging ascent of βNamche Hill,β a climb that can take around two hours, before arriving at the vibrant Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar.

19th November 2026: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
The trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche is a delightful and picturesque excursion, providing magnificent vistas of the Himalayan terrain. The path meanders through dense woods of rhododendrons and conifers, with occasional peeks of the snow-capped peaks far away.
As you progress on the trail, you'll traverse through charming mountain hamlets and witness typical Sherpa dwellings embellished with vibrant prayer flags. The scenery slowly transforms from wooded hills to expansive meadows, offering panoramic sights of the majestic Ama Dablam and other Himalayan summits in the horizon.

20th November 2026: Tengboche to Dingboche, acclimatisation hike to Nangkartshang peak and back to Dingboche
The hike commences with a gentle climb out of Tengboche. As you trek on, you will come across numerous quaint mountain villages and observe traditional Sherpa houses adorned with colourful prayer flags. The terrain gradually transitions from forested hills to open plains, offering breathtaking views of the towering Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and other Himalayan peaks in the distance. You will take an acclimatisation hike to Nangkartshang Peak before descending back down to Dingboche.
Located at an elevation of 4,400 metres, Dingboche is a charming hamlet surrounded by stunning snow-capped peaks.

21st November 2026: Acclimatisation day at Dingboche
After breakfast, youβll embark on a short acclimatisation hike to Nagarjun Hill or a nearby ridge above the village. The gradual ascent provides both excellent altitude conditioning and breathtaking panoramic views of Makalu and the surrounding Himalayan range.
Youβll return to Dingboche in the afternoon, where you can rest, enjoy warm meals, and take in the tranquil beauty of this mountain haven. This balanced day of activity and rest ensures your body continues to adjust effectively to the thinner air β a key step in your successful journey toward Everest Base Camp.
22nd November 2026: Dingboche to Lobuche via Kongma La Pass
The journey commences with a gradual ascent out of Dingboche, traversing rugged terrain and rocky outcrops. You will eventually arrive at Kongma La Pass, which stands at an elevation of 5,535 meters. Although the climb up to the pass is steep and challenging, the breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks make it a rewarding experience.
Once you cross the pass, the trail descends steeply to the Khumbu Glacier, which is the largest glacier in the region. From there, you will follow the glacier to the moraine and start the ascent to Lobuche. The trail is steep and rough, featuring several challenging sections and steep inclines.
Located at an altitude of 4,940 meters, Lobuche is a small settlement that offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks.

23rd November 2026: Lobuche to EBC to Gorekshep
The trekking adventure commences with a gradual uphill hike from Lobuche, tracing the Khumbu Glacier until you reach Gorak Shep, situated at an elevation of 5,164 meters.
Distance: Approximately 11.2km
24th November 2026: Gorekshep Hike Kala Pattah to Tengboche / Kyanjuma
This morning you depart from Gorak Shep and begin with an early ascent of Kala Patthar (5,545m), one of the most celebrated viewpoints in the Everest region. From the summit, you are rewarded with unparalleled panoramic views of Mount Everest, Nuptse and the surrounding Himalayan giants.
After descending back to Gorak Shep for breakfast, you retrace your steps down the Khumbu Valley, passing through Lobuche and Pheriche before continuing toward Tengboche or Kyanjuma. The descent offers a noticeable increase in oxygen levels, making for more comfortable trekking, while the landscape transitions from stark alpine terrain to rhododendron forests and traditional Sherpa villages. This is a long but rewarding day, combining one of the trekβs highest viewpoints with a substantial descent into greener surroundings.

25th November 2026: Tengboche / Kyangjuma to Lukla
The trek from Tengboche / Kyangjuma to Lukla is the last leg of the Everest Base Camp trek. The trail descends through lush forests and conifers, with occasional views of the Himalayan peaks. Trekkers will pass through small Sherpa villages, where a lunch break can be taken.
After crossing the Dudh Kosi River, the trail climbs up towards Lukla. The final ascent can be steep in some places, but the trek offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Upon arrival in Lukla, trekkers can celebrate the completion of their trek with a meal or drink at one of the many restaurants or bars.
Distance: Approximately 27.1km
26th November 2026: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu
The flight from Lukla to Kathmandu is the final leg of the Everest Base Camp trek, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks during the 35 - minute flight. After a memorable journey through the mountains, trekkers arrive at the Lukla airport for their flight back to Kathmandu.
This evening, we'll visit an authentic Nepalese restaurant for dinner and some traditional Nepali songs and dance.
Departure
A driver will collect you from your hotel around 3 hours before your departing flight and transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM), ensuring that you arrive there at least 2 hours before your flight departs. Please let us know if you'd like to be collected earlier.
What's included in the costs?
Note that conversely with many other operations, our prices do indeed cover meals in tea houses along the route, and return flights from Kathmandu to Lukla. You will need cash for additional beverages, and tips.
